1 Year Anniversary at Painted Tree
Today is Red Shed Designs Painted Tree Booth’s first birthday as we celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary of our Painted Tree Boutique inside Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center! A little over a year ago we started this new chapter and we have loved every minute of it. EEEKKK! Last year we were planning our space and our house was full of products so we had to ask my Mom & Dad to have Thanksgiving at their house because ours was a disaster. We were filled with excitement and a little bit nervous for the new adventure, but so ready to start selling and creating fun pieces!! So, in this post I’m going to share some tips with you that have helped make this past year a success in our Painted Tree booth.
Here I am right about this time last year. Just a girl who had no clue what I was doing. Over the past year I have learned so much! Am I an expert?? Umm NOOOO! I do believe that I have learned enough that I can share a few tips in case you are thinking about opening your own booth. Maybe you have been thinking about it and are on the fence or maybe you took the leap and are just began this fun journey. Hopefully, these tips are useful for your own space!
#1 Staging and moving things around to re-fresh your booth is so important!
Make visiting your booth often a priority, for me it was easy to pop in since my 9-5 job is literally just down the street, so after work I could run in really quick and make sure the booth looked put together and nice. The customers who love your shop will come often, they want to see things fresh and new products added often. Sometimes just moving a product from one side of the booth to the other will help it sell.
#2 Market yourself, your brand and your booth
Painted Tree has hundreds of booths so you want people to know your business name so it is easier to find you and you stand out in the crowd. Have a unique look to your booth so everything flows and looks like it belongs together. When people see your stuff they know it is from Red Shed Designs. It has a certain rustic industrial mixed with boho style about it. Create social media accounts and post often about adding new items to your booth so local customers can stop in and shop. Have business cards in your booth for customers to take home so they know where to find you, I also have a sign that says “connect with us” that lists out our social handles so people can whip out their phones and follow us.
#3 Work Hard
If you want a successful booth then you need to be consistently working it! Thinking ahead of holidays, ordering or creating new products, make it a priority and visit it often. Stay positive, there are always slow times in every business so don’t get discouraged if you have a low revenue month, if you work hard and put in the effort it will pay off. It has been a very good experience for us, if you have questions or want to pick my brain just send me a message I would be happy to share my experience.
#4 Have Fun
