Road Trippin’
Road trips can be an exciting adventure, especially when you have the company of your teenage niece and nephew. Recently, I had the opportunity to take a road trip with my teenage niece and nephew to North Carolina to visit our family. It was a long drive, but we managed to make the most of it and create some unforgettable memories along the way.
The journey started off a little bit rough, we rented a 7 passenger mini-van and got a 5 passenger SUV. UGH!
There was literally nothing we could do as many other families Spring Break started off this way at the Avis rental place. So annoying!! But we decided to make the most of it all cozy with less space for everyone. We started our journey early in the morning, and as soon as we hit the road, we were filled with excitement. Our plan was to drive straight through, with a few pit stops along the way. We made sure to pack enough snacks, water, and other essentials to keep us going throughout the trip.
As we drove through different states Grammy kept the kids busy in the back playing a few road trip games like Pictionary and bingo, which kept us entertained for hours.
Finally, after a long drive, we reached our destination in North Carolina. We were welcomed by our family with open arms, and it was great to catch up with everyone. We spent the next few days exploring the area, trying out local cuisine, and creating some fantastic memories.
One of my favorite memories was indoor skydiving at iFly, that was so much fun, I highly recommend it! What a cool experience and a memory I won’t soon forget!
One of the things I enjoyed the most about this trip was spending time with my niece and nephew and seeing where my sister lives and her new family. A big shout out to my sister and David, they were amazing hosts, their home is so beautiful and we are so grateful we got to visit! It was an excellent opportunity to bond with family. All of the kids were full of energy, and their enthusiasm was infectious, they make everything so much fun. We had a lot of fun conversations with a lot of laughter, which made the trip even more enjoyable.
In conclusion, taking a road trip with your teenage niece and nephew can be a fantastic experience. It’s an opportunity to spend quality time together, create unforgettable memories, and bond in a way that you wouldn’t be able to in everyday life. If you’re thinking of taking a road trip with your family, I highly recommend it. It’s an adventure that you’ll never forget.
