Repurposed Clock Table

Repurposed Clock Table

One of my favorite projects we did when we were planning and designing our Painted Tree Booth was our clock table project.  So here is the back story on this one.

Jason and I were both trying to figure out what we could use as a little island/display for the middle of our booth, something to put products on, draw people into our booth, I decided that something round would be best so people could easily move around it and it wouldn’t crowd our space too much.  I begin thinking and as my creative mind wonders as it typically does……my eyes lock in on our living room clock.  We made several clocks a few years ago out of old spools, we ended up keeping two of our favorites, one was in our spare bedroom and one in our downstairs front living room.

I ask Jason “Could we make a table out of that clock?”  Most people would probably give me a weird look if I asked them that question, but my husband knows me well and he understands how my mind works so he didn’t even flinch at the idea.  LOL!  He said yea I think we could, so we decide that if we took out the clock parts it was basically just the top of a wire spool with black roman numerals painted on it, it was already distressed and matched the vibe of our booth, so why not?

We turned to Pinterest on ideas on how we could build a base or legs for our display table.  We landed on black steel pipe, it would be perfect!  The look was industrial and we thought it would look awesome with the brick wall we were planning and our other display pieces.

So, we took the clock off the wall, we replaced it with the second clock we had upstairs in our spare bedroom (which is the first clock we ever made) and Jason began calculating how much pipe he would need and what style of legs he was going to create.  I love how this turned out, it is super cool and unique for our space and perfect to hold just the right amount of products to draw customers eyes to our booth as they stroll down the Painted Tree isle.  It was also very inexpensive since we just repurposed something we already had in our home.

Total cost of the project was right around $40 for the pipe we used to create the table base.
